The Ask Direct Fundraising Summer School values and encourages robust debate and discussion of the issues raised during Summer School. We expect that all such debate be carried out in a respectful and dignified manner. In particular, we will not tolerate any harassment or abuse of speakers, staff or delegates.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or ethnicity, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsor and exhibitors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, exhibitors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, Ask Direct may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the Summer School with no refund.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of staff immediately. Staff can be identified as they'll be wearing branded t-shirts.
Staff will be happy to help participants contact venue security or Gardaí, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the Summer School. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at Summer School and at Summer School related social events.
