New speakers added to Summer School

- Jun 8 2018

You didn’t think that was it, did you? That we wouldn’t have any more rebels with a cause to add to our biggest and brightest Summer School line-up ever?

So, let me introduce you to the latest band of rebels joining us this July...

During her time at Guide Dogs UK, Jayne George grew the charity’s donations by 692%! Now a Director at Alan Clayton Associates, she’ll explore how your charity can deliver its ambition.

Can you get major donors to give via their (very expensive) Smartphone? Emily Collins-Ellis from I.G Advisers thinks so. How’s that for challenging our conventional thinking on fundraising?

DTV’s Director Derek Humphries will be talking about being your own guru, in his punk-rock named session Never Mind The Bollocks: 21 things I’ve learned.

When it comes to a rebel with a cause, our very own Caoileann Appleby certainly fits the bill. Fresh from her work with Abortion Support Network (ASN) and the momentous Together For Yes campaign, she’ll be joined by Ask Direct’s Emma Doran to discuss how when it comes to testing, we need to try, fail and — as Dublin’s Samuel Beckett memorably said — fail better.

Speaking of literary types, we’ve just added Mick Heaney to our Storytelling panel. The Irish Times journalist certainly knows a thing or two about engaging an audience.

Last but definitely not least, Shanon Doolittle will join us from that city of big ideas — Seattle — to give our closing plenary. A fundraising and storytelling strategist, Shannon will inspire us to take new thinking, difficult questions and thought-provoking answers back to the office with us.

That’s on top of a stellar line-up already that included Jeff Brooks, Stephen George, Wainani Dombrowski, Meredith Niles, Claire Routely, Ian McQuillin… the list goes on.

All that’s missing is you.

Summer School kicks off on 12 July in the heart of historic Dublin, for two days of challenging debate, thought-provoking questions and innovative solutions. Our Late Bird tickets are now on sale for €395 — making us one of the best value fundraising conferences on the calendar. Groups of 4 or more get a 10% discount.

So, what are you waiting for? Book your tickets now.
