Jules Brown

Creative Director

img_2555Jules ditched his suit and defected to the “The Creative Side” in 2002 after 14 years of DM account handling resulted in a creeping sense of frustration and premature balding. “I was pretty frustrated,” he admits. “And bald.”

Fortunately, client handling’s loss turned out to be fundraising copy’s gain. Over the last three years his emotive concepts and persuasive copy style have helped raise more than €6 million in funds for our clients. But no new hairs.

He blames his talents on an accidental side-effect of selling his soul to the devil in return for being able to play wicked slide guitar (although he still sings like a hamster trying to escape a blender).

Jules has won the usual bunch of DM awards, and is one of the few DM copywriters around who’s actually studied direct marketing. He even has a Diploma from the Institute of Direct Marketing to prove it.

He’s currently working on his lifelong ambition to become a grumpy old fart and annoy everyone - but not until he’s finished being a grumpy middle-aged fart first.
