Ah well…

… a clean sweep for the delicious Ice Cream Ireland in Best Specialist and Best Business categories meant that Ask Direct left the Irish Blog Awards empty handed. But we had some fun in the process.

It was good to meet the other business blog nominees. Especially after having recorded a joint podcast with them all on Thursday morning (available here on Krishna’s site). Congrats to Kieran for his double win (and to Conor for picking up Best Blog Post).

Also nice to catch up with Red Mum (who deservedly won Best Personal Blog), Piaras and all the other bloggers I bumped into.

Delighted that Twenty won Most Humourous Post for this exceptionally funny and gratuitously offensive piece of genius. He also walked away with Best Blog.

Beaut.ie and Irish Election were the other big winners.

A bit of a surprise that the Swearing Lady and Blogorrah both left with nothing.
